because directors on both boards already had sound understanding of good governance to bring in more developments to PKFZ.

He also claims that both BOD have a good, experienced team of people sitting on the boards

PKA and PKFZ boards unchanged, says chairman

PORT KLANG, April 20 — Port Klang Authority (PKA) chairman Datuk Teh Kim Poo said today that the boards of the regulator and its Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) industrial park are to be retained.

He said that this was because directors on both boards already had sound understanding of good governance to bring in more developments to PKFZ.


“I have decided not to change for now as we have a good, experienced team of people sitting on the boards,” said Teh, who took up the role at the beginning of the month.






He said that the immediate concern was to find new business plans for PKFZ as Port Klang was currently ranked among the top ports in the world.

“I want the board members to stop criticising and pointing fingers at others over legal action in respect to the PKFZ scandal,” he told reporters here.



The PKFZ scandal has seen the project cost balloon

from about RM2 billion to potentially RM12.5 billion.

Former transport ministers Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik and Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy are facing trial for deceiving the government over the PKFZ scandal.
