Sin Chew Daily reported today that the MB's officials then complained to Pos Malaysia in a meeting on Tuesday.
The cards were part of some 7,000 cards sent out to voters on Sept 2 and an apartment resident reported to the MB's political secretary of the find.
In a press conference called by the MB's office after a meeting with Pos Malaysia representatives, they claimed the incident "is purely a delivery system technical problem and not politically motivated".
The representatives claimed that during the festive seasons, several locations were chosen as drop off points for letters to be delivered within an area and thus the letters could have been accidentally left in the location.
Sin Chew also reported that the postman on duty realised that the bags were missing but thought it had been distributed by his colleague.
A resident who claimed to have seen the incident tried to alert the postman but was reported to be ignored.
Pos Malaysia corporate head office, when contacted, declined comment saying "we are in the midst of investigating the case".
