Assembly man for Seberang Jaya, Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah (pic) has been chosen to stand against DSAI in Permatang Pauh by election to be held on 26th August 2008. There are 58,489 registered voters of whom 24.7 percent or 14482 are Chinese voters in the constituency.
