PPIM and Pewaris lodge police report

KUALA LUMPUR: The Muslim Consumers Assoc­iation of Malaysia (PPIM) and the Islamic NGOs, Heritage Associations, Malay Cultural Organisations and Related Bodies Cooperation Network (Pewaris) lodged police re­ports yesterday against Selangor state executive councillor Teresa Kok alleging that she had tried to prohibit the azan call at mosques and suraus in Kota Damansara, Sri Serdang and Puchong Jaya.

The reports were made by Pewaris advisor Rahimuddin Md Harun and PPIM complaints officer Mohd Nor Imran Yusuf at the Sentul district police headquarters at 11 am.

“We made the reports so police can carry out investigations on her because it is feared that her statements can spark racial animosity in Malaysia,” Rahimuddin told reporters.

PPIM secretary-general Da­t­uk Dr Ma’amor Osman said in a statement that PPIM supported the recent ISA arrests.

“The detentions are proof that the Government does not remain silent in matters involving racial sensitivities and the Federal Constitution.

“Matters such as these should be viewed seriously because, if ignored, they can incite hatred among the people, especially the Malays, because their special position has often been disputed by certain quarters,” he said.

Jangan memalukan diri dengan tindakan melulu

Saya benar benar percaya bahawa Teresa Kok tidak pernah membuat apa tindakan untuk menghentikan laungan azan. Adakah sesiapa mempunyai setitikpun bukti bahawa Teresa Kok telah berbuat atau berniat sebegitu?

Carikan bukti bukti yang nyata dahulu. Bukankah Al Quran sering meminta ummahnya mendapatkan saksi dan bukti yang nyata? Jangan membabi buta (oops... sensitif pulak sebut babi ni)membuat tuduhan. Ianya hanyalah angkara fitnah dari seseorang yang ingin mendiamkan Teresa Kok yang telah berjaya membongkar rahsia rahsia pentadbiran extravaganza sesuatu pentadbiran terdahulu.

Kalau kita dah mengambil tindakan melulu begini dan kemudian mendapati tuduhan kita adalah hanya khayalan dan dongengan semata macammana? Tak ke habis besar malu kita orang Islam?
