There was an 80% possibility of homicide and 20% chance of suicide in the death Teoh Beng Hock.
Dr Porntip Rojanasunan (PIC LEFT) pointed out that among others a contusion on the right side of Teoh's neck as shown on the port mortem pictures was compatible with injury caused by manual strangulation.
She also found penetration injury in the anal region which can be caused by inserting an object in that particular part.
The fracture of the skull might have been caused by a direct blunt force to the skull prior to the fall.
Pornthip maintains 80% possibility of homicide in Teoh Beng Hock's death
KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 7, 2009) : Acclaimed Thai forensic pathologist Dr Porntip Rojanasunan, who attended the second post mortem on Teoh Beng Hock last month as an observer, maintains her view that there was an 80% possibility of homicide and 20% chance of suicide in the political aide's death.
Porntip had put forward her view last month at the inquest into Teoh's death on a fifth-floor landing of the Plaza Masalam on Aug 17 after he was interviewed by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
Gobind Singh Deo, the lawyer for Teoh's family, said Porntip had maintained her view during his latest discussion on her preliminary findings of the second post mortem.
However, he told Nanyang Siang Pau that Porntip still needed some time to complete her post mortem report.
The Puchong MP disclosed that British pathologist Prof Peter Vanezis, who is representing the Selangor MACC, and the pathologists who conducted the post mortem, have also yet to complete their reports.
"But I believe their reports will be ready before the coroner's court resumes the inquest on Wednesday" he said.
On whether the post mortem reports would be made public, Gobind said he felt they should be but he would leave it to the coroner.
At the hearing last month, Porntip's testimony prompted Teoh's family to seek a court order for Teoh's body to be exhumed for a second post mortem.
The flamboyant forensic expert had pointed out that among others a contusion on the right side of Teoh's neck as shown on the port mortem pictures was compatible with injury caused by manual strangulation.
She also found penetration injury in the anal region which can be caused by inserting an object in that particular part.
She told the inquest the fracture of the skull might have been caused by a direct blunt force to the skull prior to the fall.
