  Kedudukan terakhir pesawat Malaysia Airlines (MAS) MH370 yang hilang, dikenal pasti melalui
penggunaan "Kesan Doppler" oleh Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) United Kingdom dan Satelit Inmarsat.

" Kesan Doppler " ini dipelajari oleh pelajar aliran sains di tingkatan 4 dan 5 KBSM apabila membincangkan tajuk gelombang dalam mata pelajaran fizik.

Berdasarkan pergerakan relatif ini, frekuensi yang diterima dan dipancarkan akan berbeza daripada nilai normalnya, sama seperti bunyi sebuah kereta berubah apabila ia semakin dekat dan berlalu.Ini dikenali sebagai "Kesan Doppler".

Kaedah Inmarsat itu membuat analisis tentang perbezaan antara frekuensi yang dijangka diterima stesen bumi dengan frekuensi sebenar yang diukur dan perbezaan yang wujud adalah hasil daripada kesan Doppler, yang dikenali sebagai "Burst Frequency Offset".

 "Burst Frequency Offset" berubah mengikut lokasi pesawat terbabit dalam arca yang berkemungkinan menjadi tempatnya berada, arah pergerakan dan kelajuannya.

Pada peringkat itu, lokasi pesawat berkenaan dan satelit, telah dikenal pasti, maka oleh itu, perkiraan bolehlah dibuat tentang ciri-ciri sistem pesawat terbabit, satelit dan stesen bumi.

Why and how did MH370 end up in the Indian Ocean?


The Doppler effect helped investigators pinpoint flight MH370 to the southern Indian Ocean but they are still puzzled about the reasons that sent the lost Malaysia Airlines jet the opposite way from its intended destination – Beijing.

Why did the Boeing 777-200ER (9M-MRO) carrying 239 people end up in the Indian Ocean? How did the wide-body passenger jet turn from a routine red-eye flight into an "unprecedented aviation mystery"? And, who did it?

These are the questions uppermost on the minds of investigators and families of the 239 people on board flight MH370 that flew from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing in the early hours of March 8 but ended up lost within an hour of its six-hour flight.

After 17 days and a multinational hunt that began in the South China Sea, in-depth communication satellite data from British investigators and debris spotted by American, Chinese and French satellites finally zeroed in on MH370's last position – the southern part of the Indian Ocean.

The why and how about MH370 ended up in the remote rough seas will only be known once investigators get to fish the black box of the Malaysian jet that is registered as 9M-MRO.

Until then, the race to trace its route after vanishing off Malaysia's east coast city of Kota Baru to the Indian Ocean has become an amazing story by itself.

Reuters reported that British satellite provider Inmarsat used a wave phenomenon discovered in the 19th century to analyse the seven pings its satellite picked up from the Malaysia Airlines jet to determine its final destination.

The new findings led Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to conclude last night that the 11-year-old jet crashed thousands of kilometres away in the southern Indian Ocean, killing all 239 people on board.

The pings, automatically transmitted every hour from the aircraft after the rest of its communications systems had stopped, indicated it continued flying for hours after it disappeared from its flight path from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

From the time the signals took to reach the satellite and the angle of elevation, Inmarsat was able to provide two arcs, one north and one south that the aircraft could have taken.

Inmarsat's scientists then interrogated the faint pings using a technique based on the Doppler effect, which describes how a wave changes frequency relative to the movement of an observer, in this case the satellite, a spokesman said.

Britain's Air Accidents Investigation Branch was also involved in the analysis.

The Doppler effect is why the sound of a police car siren changes as it approaches and then overtakes an observer.

"We then took the data we had from the aircraft and plotted it against the two tracks, and it came out as following the southern track," Jonathan Sinnatt, head of corporate communications at Inmarsat, was quoted as saying by Reuters.

The company then compared its theoretical flight path with data received from Boeing 777s it knew had flown the same route, he said, and it matched exactly.

The findings were passed to another satellite company to check, he said, before being released to investigators yesterday.

The paucity of data – only faint pings received by a single satellite every hour or so – meant techniques like triangulation using a number of satellites or GPS (Global Positioning System) could not be used to determine the aircraft's flight path.

Keeping track

Stephen Wood, CEO of All Source Analysis, a satellite analytic firm, said it seemed that the investigators had narrowed down the area substantially.

“But it's still a big area that they have to search," he said.

The incident is likely to spur a review of aviation rules, especially related to communications equipment and the ability to turn off a plane's transponder, he added.

But it is too early to say what that would entail because it remains unknown what caused the plane to divert from its original course.

"This type of incident will cause everyone who flies airplanes commercially with passengers to be really pressed for a whole new line of ways to keep track of their precious cargo," said Wood, a former American intelligence officer who headed the analysis unit of DigitalGlobe Inc, a satellite imagery firm, until July 2013.

Inmarsat said for a relatively low cost, its satellites could keep tabs on flights and provide the data exchanged between the air and the ground to help organise routes to save time and fuel.

Its systems, which are widely used in shipping, have been embedded into surveillance and communications technologies that allow air traffic controllers to build up a picture of where aircraft are, and to better manage routes.

"If you have that (...) capability you get a preferred routing at the right altitude that makes your aircraft more fuel efficient, but if you don't have it you have to fly lower and get less priority in air-traffic control," he said.

The system is used in planes in the North Atlantic, Inmarsat's vice-president for aeronautics, David Coiley, told Reuters earlier this month, but it is not commonly used in all parts of the world.

Sinnatt said yesterday that such a facility would cost about US$10 (RM33) per flight.

"It is something we have been pushing the industry to do because it significantly adds to safety," he said. Other satellite providers are also developing tracking systems. – March 25, 2014.

KAJANG: Suasana pusat pengundian di Sekolah
Kebangsaan (SK) Sungai Kantan kecoh apabila
  sekumpulan anak muda penyokong BN cuba membuat provokasi dengan memerah minyak motorsikal.

Lebih 20 biji motosikal yang ditunggangi penyokong BN memerah minyak dan berhenti di tengah-tangah jalan menyebabkan suasana bingit.

Keadaan ini membuatkan para penyokong PKR tidak berpuas hati kerana bunyi bingit dengan asap motorsikal berkepul-kepul mencemarkan udara.

Keadaan ini menimbulkan ketegangan sehingga memaksa kira-kira 10 anggota FRU masuk campur dan menenangkan suasana.

Penyokong PKR yang mendengar arahan daripada pihak polis segera meminta penyokongnya berundur daripada mendekati penyokong BN.

Dalam beberapa minit selepas itu gerombolan penyokong BN dilihat melakukan provokasi lagi dengan bertindak mengetuk kereta penyokong PKR yang melalui jalan di hadapan mereka.

Sehingga kini keadaan masih lagi riuh dengan gelagat kedua-dua penyokong PKR dan BN yang berdiri bersebelahan menyebabkan suasana sukar sikawal.

Sementara itu Ahli Jawatankuasa PAS Pusat, Dr Syed Azman Syed Nawawi dan Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar serta Adun Hulu Kelang, Saari Sungib turut berada di pusat pengundian ini.

Syed Azman menasihatkan penyokong Pakatan Rakyat tidak melayan provokasi yang dimainkan BN.

"Kita tidak mahu menang provokasi tetapi kita mahu menang undi. Kita sudah lalui banyak pilihan raya sudah biasa dengan keadaan ini. Jadi kita yakin dapat kawal ahli-ahli kita,"katanya.
Katanya, walaupun kawasan ini kawasan BN tindakan provokasi itu menunjukkan rasa tergugatnya BN terhadap kedudukan mereka sebelum ini.

SPM: Tahniah kepada semua

S.P.M. 
Debaran sekalian lama pelajar telah reda. Ada yang teramat bahagia mengenggam keputusan bagus yang luar jangkaan. Tidak kurang pula yang berduka dan hampa di atas pencapaian SPM mereka. Ianya satu pengesahan keputusan yang dijangka. Biasa biasa sahaja. Sebilangan pula merana pilu kerana tidak kesampaian hasil yang dihajati.
Ibu bapa tidak terkecuali diselubungi dengan dunia suspens sementara. Begitu juga datuk dan nenek.Pendek kata demam sekeluarga hanya sanya kerana sebuah peperiksaan awam bernama S.P.M.
Ini adalah keluarga yang normal. Reaksi yang boleh dijangka.

Apa yang sering dilupakan oleh manusia yang melalui ujian demi ujian ialah nilai relatif ujian yang dihadapinya. Bermula dengan ujian kecil di pra sekolah. Sorakan dan galakan hanya tertumpu kepada markah. Ujian bulanan, ujian penggal. Kemudian penghujung 6 tahun di peringkat rendah ujian UPSR. markah lagi yang menjadi ukuran. Hingga PMR, kemudian SPM, STPM dan lain lain. Bahkan IPT juga penuh ujian. C.G.P.A menjadi ukuran penting. Bagi yang yang mendapat pinjaman PTPTN bahkan tajaan lain, andaikata CGPA jatuh bawah paras 2.0 pinjaman atau tajaan tersebut akan digantung sehingga ia pulih melebihi paras minima 2.0.

Maka pelik wal hairan bagaimana pelajar yang telah dilatih tubi dengan pelbagai ujian dalam pendidikan tidak sedar bahawa ada ujian lain selain daripada ujian formal di bangku sekolah dan menara gading.
Ujian integriti, kesabaran, kejujuran, keihlasan, setiakawan, kebolehpercayaan.........semua ini berlaku dalam hidupnya. lulus atau gagal dalam ujian praktikal dalam dunia realiti kehidupan ini akan menjadi ukuran kepada tahap kejayaannya dalam kehidupan dan boleh menjadi petunjuk kepada hal ehwalnya di alam akhirat kelak.
Justeru, ia perlu mempelajari 'subjek teras' untuk menanggapi erti kehidupan dan bagaimana hidup di dunia dengan jaya dan melstarikan kejayaannya hingga ke akhirat kelak.

Jadi bagi pelajar yang berjaya dalam peperiksaan SIJIL PELAJARAN MALAYSIA, sekalung tahniah bagimu, ibubapamu, gurumu serta rakan belajarmu. Namun jangan sekali kali lupa dengan S.P. M yang lagi satu, yang sudah tentu lebih mencabar, real dan ukuran kejayaan hakiki.

MH370: Pelbagai Teori dan Misteri

Business Insider  ada membawa laporan dalam keluaran terbarunya di mana seorang rakyat Amerika bernama Chri Goodfellow
telah menulis teorinya tentang kehilangan pesawat MH370.
Teori ini mudah, tidak rencam , logikal dan  tidak melibatkan mana-mana pihak ketiga.

Cuma teori ini tidak menyatakan kenapa pilot atau co-pilot tidak melaporkan kepada control tower tentang kewujudan  api dan asap dalam cockpit pesawat, yakni menghantar SOS signal.

After more than 10 days and numerous theories as to the whereabouts of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370, the Business Insider has reported of an alternative theory proposed by a former pilot, which has emerged as a very plausible cause for the disappearance of the aircraft.

A few days ago, American Chris Goodfellow had written his simple case on his Google+ page on what he believed happened to the missing aircraft.

Goodfellow had based his theory on the key information of the turn back move shortly after the aircraft had left Malaysian airspace off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia.

His theory suggests that all relevant officials, investigators and the international media are overthinking the incident behind the disappearance of flight MH370.

Based on Goodfellow's theory, the following is what could have transpired on board the aircraft, and more specifically in the cockpit:

    Shortly after takeoff, as MAS flight MH370 was flying out over the South China Sea, smoke began filling the cockpit, perhaps from a tyre on the front landing gear that had ignited on take-off.

    The captain immediately did exactly what he had been trained to do, that is to find the closest airport and turn the plane toward it so he could land.

    The closest appropriate airport was in Pulau Langkawi, as it had a massive 13,000-foot runway that could cater for the Boeing 777-200. The pilot was likely to have known that beforehand, as any experienced pilot with more than 18,000 flying hours under his belt would.

    The captain programmed the destination into the flight computer. The auto-pilot turned the plane west and put it on a course right for the runway.

    The pilot did not consider returning to Kuala Lumpur International Airport because the plane would have to cross over a mountain range in between. He knew the terrain to Langkawi would be friendlier and also a shorter distance to cover.

    The captain and co-pilot tried to find the source of the smoke and fire, but it soon filled the cockpit and overwhelmed them (a tyre fire would do this).

    Such a fire could also short-circuit the cockpit systems one by one, including the transponder. Quite possibly, both pilots had passed out or died by then.

    With no one awake to instruct the auto-pilot to land, the plane kept flying on its last programmed course... right over Pulau Langkawi and out over the Indian Ocean.

    Eventually, six or seven hours after the incident, it ran out of fuel and crashed.

    This pilot was a hero struggling with an impossible situation trying to get that plane to Langkawi. No doubt in my mind. That's the reason for the turn and direct route.

Goodfellow further elaborated that Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah did all the right things.

"He was confronted by some major event onboard that made him make that immediate turn back to the closest safe airport.

"For me the loss of transponders and communications makes perfect sense if in the event of a fire, and especially an electrical fire. The first response is to pull all the main busses and restore circuits one by one until you have isolated the bad one.

"However, if they pulled the busses, the plane indeed would go silent. It was probably a serious event and they simply were occupied with controlling the plane and trying to fight the fire.

"Aviate, navigate and lastly communicate," Goodfellow wrote on the priority that is set for pilots to follow in the event of any emergency.

According to Goodfellow's theory, one possibility, given the timeline on how the fire started and then spread is that perhaps there was an overheat on one of the front landing gear tires and it blew on takeoff and started slowly burning. This could happen with under-inflated tires.

He added: "This pilot was a hero struggling with an impossible situation trying to get that plane to Langkawi. No doubt in my mind. That's the reason for the turn and direct route.

"A hijack would not have made that deliberate left turn with a direct heading for Langkawi. It would probably have weaved around a bit until the hijackers decided on where they were taking it.

"Surprisingly none of the reporters, officials and other pilots interviewed have looked at this from the pilot's viewpoint. If something went wrong where would he go? Thanks to Google Earth, I spotted Langkawi in about 30 seconds, zoomed in and saw how long the runway was and I just instinctively knew this pilot knew this airport.

"He had probably flown there many times. Also, another good clue would be the age and number of cycles on those nose tyres."
