NAZRI NASIHAT ADUN UMNO PERAK KE MAHKAMAH

Sambil menyifatkan tindakan speaker Dewan Undangan negeri (DUN) Perak V. Sivakumar hari ini sebagai kelakar, Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz, berkata speaker itu berkelakuan mempersenda dewan berkenaan.

Nazri berkata, seluruh episod itu adalah satu "komedi" kerana keputusan oleh Sivakumar itu "amat tidak masuk akal".

Dalam tindakan di luar jangkaan sama sekali itu, Sivakumar menggantung dan melarang Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir dan anggota exconya dari menghadiri sesi DUN Perak selama 18 bulan berkuatkuasa serta merta.

Pergolakan terbaru dalam kemelut politik Perak ini tercetus selepas speaker memutuskan bahawa Zambry dan enam exconya telah menghina DUN.

"Speaker bertindak sendiri menjadi hakim dan juri sedangkan beliau tidak langsung mempunyai bidang kuasa itu.

"Ini benar-benar kelakar dan satu persendaan dalam seluruh episod," kata Nazri pada sidang akhbar di bangunan Parlimen di sini.

"Saya rasa untuk menghentikan ini semua, anggota-anggota DUN Barisan Nasional hendaklah ke mahkamah untuk menyelesaikan kebuntuan dan menjelaskan situasi," kata Nazri.

Sivakumar's action a joke, says Nazri

Describing the move by Perak State Legislative Assembly Speaker V. Sivakumar as a joke, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said the former was making a mockery of the Perak State Assembly.

He said the whole episode was a "comedy" because the decision by Sivakumar was "very ridiculous".

In an unprecendented move, Sivakumar today suspended Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir and his executive council members from attending the State Legislative Assembly for a lengthy period.

The latest twist to the Perak political saga came after the State Speaker ruled that Zambry and the six executive councillors were in contempt of the assembly.

Zambry was barred from attending the State ssembly for 18 months while his executive council members were barred 12 months, effective today.

"The Speaker took it upon himself to become judge and jury when he has no jurisdiction at all. This is really a joke and a mockery of the whole episode," Nazri told a press conference at the Parliament building, here today.

"But I feel that this must be stopped. Barisan Nasional state assembly members should take to court to resolve the stalemate to clarify the situation," he said.
