TENANG: MCA wake UP! NORMALA HAS PRECEDENTS!

For those who are not aware of current politics, this is not the first time PAS fields a woman candidate.In fact.PAS has successfully produced women MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT AND STATE LEGISLATORS. Currently PAS has 3 state executive councillors(EXCOs), one each in almost all PAKATAN RAKYAT states.

   And all of us do not shake hands with men! Does that make any of us less effective EXCO/MP/ADUN/Senator??!Does it mean that we care less for the people that we serve?Do you truly believe that we would neglect you just because we CANNOT shake hands with you not because of our wants but because we are guided by our Islamic principles? Didn't STEVEN COVEY the guru of 7 highly effective habits(now 8) menyioned that one of the big lessons he teaches is to be PRINCIPLE-CENTRED? Make sense? 

      We, the Muslim women lawmakers(previous candidates) abide by the rules laid upon us by the same GOD that forbids us to consume pork. And it is that same God that tells us to love and treat MALAYS, CHINESE,INDIANS and all, whether they are MUSLIMS or NOT equally. This is the basis of the philosophy and now famous working motto of PAS which is the manifestation of PAS' true commitment to the whole of mankind in MALAYSIA that is 'PAS FOR ALL'.I was instrumental in holding the competition for its beautiful logo where worldwide participants from UK, AUSTRALIA, MIDDLE EAST, JAPAN besides MALAYSIA submitted their entries to that competition.To this date everyone loves the logo.

  The crux of the issue is not shaking hands of the opposite sex per se but it is a glaring evidence of failure of top leaders of BARISAN NASIONAL to grasp the full meaning of 1Malaysia. PAS and PAKATAN RAKYAT allies already walk 1MALAYSIA, BN is just starting ABC with the concept.

In PAS we appreciate the fact that Christians need to go to church to pray on Sundays, we respect the fact that HINDUS do not partake beef. We understand that vegetarians won't eat the rendang we serve and we don't expect them to consume it to please us.And the majority of the people with clean hearts if clearly communicated would accept the fact that we the YBs of PAS cannot shake your hands not because we think you are dirty but because our religion forbids us.
   To relate to you my personal experience as EXCO for education, higher education and human capital development.(For those of you overseas who are not familiar with the term EXCOS, its equivalent to STATE MINISTER). I t does not prevent me from serving my constituents as ADUN and the people of Selangor at large when performing EXCO duties. I go to schools and institutions of higher learning even as far as MANCHESTER UNIVERSITY, IMPERIAL COLLEGE, CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY. I was recently in China. I did not shake hands not because of personal reasons yet I could accomplish my mission as elected representative of the people all the same!! By the by, what was that fuss about the campaign washing your hands during that H1NI outbreak.
      So, CHUA SOI LEK as president of MCA should not confuse the people of DUN TENANG and scare the Chinese and the non-Muslims of extemism of the PAS's candidate.We understand that you had all this while receive lessons on Islam only from big brother UMNO WHO ARE AS CONFUSED AS YOU ARE ABOUT GENUINE ISLAM.  Sigh...
Mind you, MR CHUA, it is by virtue of this strictly abiding by the Islamic LAW that we the PAS leaders can accomodate the CHINESE, INDIANS, KADAZANS, CHRISTIANS, HINDUS, BUDDHISTS etc etc etc because the GOD that tells us to abide to certain guarding principles is the SAME GOD that orders us to be inclusive and accomodative to serve all irrespective of colours, race, customs and even religion.So we the MUSLIM WOMEN respect you so please respect us.
